Young Architects Competition

Young Architects Challenge: Your chance to design a sustainable, practical, and futuristic structure

About The Event

"Surfboard" Community Centre

Surfboard Ventures (SV) will be building a state-of-the-art community centre for promoting entrepreneurship and start-ups in the Vasai-Virar area. For building this centre, SV is organising the “Surfboard” Community Centre Design Challenge, for creating a design and blueprint for building the centre.

This competition is open to the final year students and alumnus (2019 batch onwards) of Viva College of Architecture.

Participants should consider designs that are adapted to the local climate and tradition, and meet the Indian Green Building Code. In addition to the specific requirements outlined, participants are encouraged to be as creative as possible in the solutions they design. The jury will be looking for designs that challenge typical ideas of housing, design, and the community at large, while at the same time maintaining a practical element that ensures the realisation of these designs.
